Our Culture.

At TOUCH we always endeavour to do the right thing and have a positive impact on the world – for our talents, our customers, our suppliers, our partners, our volunteers and our employees as well as all those we touch along the way.

Internally, that starts with fostering an inclusive and safe workplace that prioritises employees’ wellbeing and happiness. Externally, we seek to enhance our contribution to society.

Corporate Social Responsibility.

The Sustainable Development Goals or Global Goals are a collection of 17 interlinked global goals designed to be a "blueprint to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all". The SDGs were set up in 2015 by the United Nations General Assembly and are intended to be achieved by 2030. TOUCH is working toward the following Sustainable Development Goals:

Our Pillars.

  • Representation

  • Mentorship

  • Community Outreach

Representation

TOUCH aims to adeqaultely represent those who identitify as living with a disability in all our services and activities. TOUCH does not charge a fee for any of talents to sign with us. Furthermore, every talent who does sign with us has pledged to give back their own time (through volunteering or mentorship) to people within our community.

Mentorship

Our Mentorship programs are FREE and focus on inclusion and empowerment for all.

The first mentoring sessions we started at TOUCH was with our partners at CrossFit Alioth. This relationship continues to grow from strength to strength. Many of our Talents dedicate their time to coach People of Determination within the UAE community. This is an example of how mentorship programs are truly embedded in our ethos at TOUCH. We are forever expanding our sessions, and will soon be offering; Squash, swimming, cooking classes, art classes, photography and much more.

We also offer global mentorship programs through our affiliation with Sumba Hospitality Foundation in Indonesia, where our volunteer mentors from around the world train students across various fields in the industry, including; culinary, food & beverage, housekeeping, front of house service and spa.

TOUCH CEO & COO; Jean & Jessica, also mentor people on a one to one basis, both in the UAE and around the world. Jean’s main focus is to empower people in business, while Jessica’s focus is postive body image and diversity. Together their expertise compliment one another, and in doing so, they have collectively worked with thousands of women from across the globe.

Community Outreach

At TOUCH we support both local and global initiatives. TOUCH currently supports three programs:

Sumba Foundation
TOUCH has officially pledged support for Sumba hospitality foundation, by way of creating a global volunteer program to support the growth, education and skill sets of the students to help with future employment.

Sumba Hospitality Foundation believes that all young people should get an opportunity in life to grow and make a better future for themselves. Sumba is a beautiful, friendly island with a highly distinctive culture, which is slowly developing into a tourism destination.

By offering vocational education in hospitality we can provide young Sumbanese people with the skills they need to create employment opportunities on the island.

The project aims to:

  • Build a sustainable model for responsible tourism development, while preserving the cultural history of the Sumbanese people

  • Provide a much needed vocational education to underprivileged students and give them the opportunity of a new career

  • Share sustainable permaculture techniques in Sumba and create environmental awareness

Soccer Kids Dubai & The Sparkle Foundation
TOUCH has officially pledged support for The Sparkle Foundation, by way of donating 10,000dhs worth of Soccer uniforms via Soccer Kids Dubai to oprhaned children in Malawi.

The Social Space
The Social Space creates multi-concept spaces to inspire social-impact champions in all that they do so as to create an economy for good. Their spaces feature a Café, a fair trade retail area, and a nail salon, all promoting greater awareness for sustainability, an appreciation for providence, and more accessible conscious living.

The Social Space is also a platform of opportunities for people of determination and those who identify with other minority groups to acquire skills and dignified employment and put their talents and skills to a good cause. The aim is to empower individuals who face a higher barrier to employment opportunities due to circumstances beyond their control to gain self-sufficiency in the long term.

The owners of The Social Space, Daniel & Cheryl, are both part of our global mentorship team equipping people from disadvantaged backgrounds with life skills and job opportunities.
